DESCRIPTION:
Fire ants lock arms and mouths to make rafts when they are flooded. They trap air in their little hairs and they don't break the surface tension of the water. When I put the penny on them, they quickly patch the hole once it passes through. When flooded, they move the larvae and eggs to the center, keeping them dry. They can do this for weeks! Say whaaaaaaat!
