The New Familiars play "Dark Hollow" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 11, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
While waiting backstage at the American Legion in Savannah, GA; The New Familiars play "Dark Hollow". A traditional, the song was common in the Grateful Dead's acoustic sets in the 70s and 80s; although it was performed electric during two 1971 shows. The tune is featured on the Dead's 1981 acoustic album, Reckoning.

The New Familiars are joined here by Savannah, GA's Eric Dunn, bass player for famed band, The Train Wrecks. This was also Silke Beats first appearance on strictly tambourine, a position he so fondly loves. Note Maholland's Irish Christmas attire, this was just before the Holiday Hoe-Down of December 2013 in Savannah, GA. Boogie
