DESCRIPTION:
This clip is from a fLipper show at the Cafe Dunord in San Franciso. fLipper had every right to be tired for this show as they had just come back to the US from a tour of England, Ireland, and Scotland but as evidenced by this song, the band rose to the occasion. fLipper formed in 1979 in San Francisco and they returned to their old stomping grounds to a large crowd. Also on the bill that night was Touch Me Hooker, another long-time bay area band. fLipper has been through a lot of turmoil, setbacks, and disappointments but its a tribute to their obvious strong drive that they are now in their 4th decade. I am sure many from the late 70's SF punk & art scene are shaking their heads that this group continues to find a way to win and refused to ever be on their backs to be counted out. They have had much more than "15 minutes of fame".
