Japanese Motors is one part Strokes, one part Beach Boys. They make little rock pop ditties about beaches, parties, surf and sunshine. Lots of songs directed to girls and acting forlorn for intimacy too. Who are these pretty boys trying to fool ?

Anyways, there's not much to say about this album. The singer is surfer / surf board designer, they're from California, they make nice little songs, some are much better than the others, others are just meh.

It's half way decent garage / surf rock. Nothing new is presented here. Nothing overly creative going on. Just some simple beach music for the suntanning crowd.
