"THESE GUYS HAVE GOT ALL THE LICKS. SOUL JAZZ HOW WE LIKE IT, ROUGH, RUGGED AND PLAYED BY GUYS TOTALLY ON TOP OF THEIR GAME. A VERY EXCITING ADDITION TO THE UK SCENE" - The Craig Charles Funk And Soul Show, BBC 6Music

The Filthy Six are the most exciting, authentic soul jazz outfit in the country today and have established themselves as one of the finest live acts around. A London based group, they play a hip-shakingly powerful mixture of soul jazz, funk and boogaloo in the finest traditions of late 60's Blue Note artists such as Lou Donaldson, Grant Green, Cannonball Adderley, Jimmy McGriff and Donald Byrd. Equally at home in the dancehalls of club-land or the more traditional jazz room setting, their music appeals to move-busting dance floor groovers and chin-scratching jazz heads alike. Nice.
"THEIR HEADY MIX OF SOUL JAZZ FLAVOURS AND BAD ASS BOOGALOO. WRAPPED UP WITH A VIBRANT ENERGY AND SENSE OF HUMOUR. KEEPS THE CROWD HOOKED FROM THE MOMENT THEY WALK ON STAGE.A SURE FIRE BET EVERY TIME" - Dom Servini (Straight No Chaser/ Shook) - London Jazz Festival
The sextet is comprised of some of London's hottest young musicians who lend their talents to a variety of top artists from across the globe including Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, Duran Duran, Jill Scott, Mark Ronson, Ian Brown, Basement Jaxx, David Axelrod, Mumford & Sons, The Raconteurs, Groove Armada, Jamie Cullum, 4Hero, JTQ, Spiritualized, Madness, Duffy, Band of Horses, Girls Aloud, Hard-Fi, Dizzee Rascal, Richard Ashcroft, Mercury Rev, Bobby Wellins, Ed Harcourt, The Feeling, Natalie Williams, The Heritage Orchestra and Nostalgia77
"A MUTHA OF A SOULFOOD SAMPLER PLATE. KILLER HORNS AND COOKED JUST RIGHT ORGAN. LOVE 'EM AND YOU'LL NEVER LEAVE 'EM" - Hammondbeat Records .
Recent Filthy business has seen the boys make their debut International Radio "live" sessions to great acclaim on both the Mark Lamarr's - God's Jukebox - show, BBCRadio2, and the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, BBC6Music. They've performed a series of blistering festival gigs around the UK including the London, Marlborough, Greenwich, Ealing and Isle of Wight International Jazz Festivals; Vintage at Goodwood (also backing up Northern Soul Legend - Ann Sexton), Edinburgh Fringe Festival and an absolute humdinger of a headline show at the Jazz Lounge, Glastonbury! In between all of this they've released an album, topped the bill at the legendary ACID JAZZ Records 21st Anniversary show and still found time to bring the house down at some of London's most discerning music venues - Jazz Cafe, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Cargo, Vortex and the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club to name but a few. .
