feverfew - Bed Of Roses

Video from the feverfew / rileys joint gig from 16th Feb 1991....
Recorded at the After Dark Club in Reading.

The gig was originally booked as a rileys gig (support to Pressgang and Home & Abroad) but due to the tragic death of guitarist Jason Swadling on 20th Jan 91, the decision was made to cancel. After much soul searching phone calls were made and the line-up was hastily rearranged.

The idea for a joint rileys / feverfew tribute to Jason was in place and feverfew came together to perform again for the first time in about two years.

This gig was also significant as it was the coming together of the two rileys line ups and the first performance of Chelsea Guitar by Paul and Keith.

The performance was emotionally charged as the band performed in front of Jason's parents, family and friends, we played liked our lives depended on it...

Some days after this gig the idea for what was to become the "Happiness EP" was conceived and in a matter of weeks the band members entered the recording studio and the "Happiness EP" was, as they say "in the can"

Dedicated to the memory of Jason Swadling
