Bio by She Rox, All Female Bands:The Ultra Bimboos began in 1994, based out of Helsinki,Finland they quickly gained a large following in Finland, thanks in part to their debut Ep, 1996's "Absolutely Fabulous" and toured nearby counties, one of which, Germany, quickly signed the band and would see two full lengths albums in 1997, We Can Stop Whenever We Want, and Supermess. The Bimboos built a name for themselves with their blend of garage indie rock that at times bordered on pop, evident in the 2000 release Four Fans Can't Be Wrong, the bands most popular release to date,it's indie pop rock stands out due largely to the single "Fool" , this opened the doors for the band even more and touring would increase, although even at the height of their popularity breaking through into markets abroad Scandinavia still eluded the band. By 2003 their final release "Bimboo Wizard" also received acclaim for it's high energy punchy indie rock feel, however it would not be enough to keep the band going and for many new fans they truly have become an undiscovered classic.
