It's long been said that Cubans sing when they speak, dance when they walk and woo with a love song so it should be of little surprise that The Cuban Brothers' debut album Yo Bonita blends sexy, soulful vocals with jaw-dropping funk that never fails to get crowds on their feet.

A raw collection of sinewy funk and heavy beats, unusually for a dance album, Yo Bonita eschews building tracks around samples in favour of a real band dynamic, which lends the collection of original tracks and inspired covers a groove that is undeniably infectious. Giving even more depth to proceedings is a litany of unique vocalists, that include Mica Paris, KT Tunstall, Kurtis Blow, Tenor Fly and the legendary Omar. From crate diggers' delight Misdemenor originally by Foster Sylvers, Sly and the Family Stone's Underdog and Motorhead's Ace of Spades rendered as you've never heard it before to the band's originals, including The Finding and current single Mike 4 President, the band effortlessly prove they know their chops, laying a contagious bedrock for Mike's vocals to soar.
