Remember Me by the Caravans - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 11, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
I'm back with my third and final video dedicated to the late Dr. Albertina Walker, the Queen of Gospel, who went home to glory this past Friday. A native of Chicago and member of the West Point Baptist Church, Walker is probably most well known for starting the group, the Caravans. Among many of its members were "The First Lady of Gospel" Pastor Shirley Caesar, "The World's Greatest Storyteller" Dorothy Norwood, Inez Andrews, Bessie Griffin, Casietta George, and the King of Gospel Music, the late Rev. James Cleveland. In 2006, Walker, along with Norwood, Andrews, and Washington reunited in the first recording of the Caravans since 1976, with the album, "Paved the Way". With the lead sung by Dorothy Norwood, the main song of the album was "Remember Me" I ask that you will continue to remember the legacy and work of Albertina Walker and that you will continue to pray for her family. Thank you and God Bless.
