It's US against THEM my niggaz!Californias Souljaz.Lil CeeThis is a networking tool not a dating gameTha Rebel born Deonta' Moore, understood the''meaning'' of music at a young age.He understood that music plays like sound tracks to our lifes."It's a gateway to the hearts of many"."Ya'll know what im talking about????.Like when that song comes on and takes you back to that time or place.Good music is timeless".His family is his biggest inspiration followed by his past."In order for us to know where we're going,we got to understand from where we came".Tha Rebels heritage is of an interesting mix.His grandfather on his mothers side was from Banda Aceh,on the tip of Sumatra. His grandmother is from Surabaya,on the island of Java."My grandparents were both prisoners of war. They spent about four years or so as p.o.w.'s.After the war, times changed as did the Indonesian government. My mother, aunt, uncle, and grandparents were sent on a boat to Holland. From holland they came the U.SOnly to return for the first time in the early 90's"."My grandfather, or as i called him Opa,was a very well respected man where he came from. They named a soccer field after him.The first time i ever saw him cry was when his home got destroyed by the sunami"(Indonesia).Tha Rebels grandfather recently passed away,Antonius Johannes Thijssen."My Omas still holding it down though.I love her to death".Tha Rebels grandfather on his dads side was from the West Indies.Indian.His grandmother was Blackfoot,Cherokee and black"My moms came to the states around the time kennedy got killed, right before.June 2, 1962 to be exactIt's a trip because they were on the same boat as Lee Harvey Olswald. She met my pops some time later and the story begins".Deonta was exposed to alot at a young age.It was a time when the unity within the family structures was slowly declining."My pops and moms had there differences and split. That nigga lightweight shook her with two kids".Deonta' recalls,"But i dont blame him for shit though,it is what it is.My moms raised us on her own. She's a strong woman and im blessed to have her. She's the shit".Dealing with the loss of his father in the early 90's and the backlash of the governments bullshit,Deonta' struggled to speak out what was dwelling inside of him.Stuttering prevented him from doing so."I can remember a time i couldn't finish a whole sentence.Fa real.I can remember listening to L.L.s records or Rakim's and shit and spitting there whole lyrics. When i would rap i wouldn't stutter. It wasn't untill N.W.A. came out when i was like,Fuck that,im spitten.Rapping over Eazy-E i realized and undestood how i must implement rapping with speach.Act like im about to spit a verse before speaking.Basically thinking before i spoke". "It's like my medicine".That method worked and Deonta never stuttered again.Growing up being around and listening to the greatest that ever did it helped mold The Rebel into what you hear today"Long hard work in the studio pays off".,Mentioned The Rebel.Being blessed with a musical backround made it hard for tha Rebel to shake it."Music is in my blood. That's what makes me talented.I love to write and create records.Shit thats going to stick with you".The Rebel smiles a little and utters"Shouts out to my family, you know who you are.You guys are my inspiration"Being scared by life's hands, he found a way to escape through music. The loss of his brother due to the system in the early 90's was shocking to Deonta'."These muthafuckas gave my brother double life without parole for crimes he didn't commit"."I myself lost seven years due to the system.I know what it's like to be on both sides of the fence. It's like two systems we have to fight against"."I was always doing my own thing and had a strong will for learning but my environment became my jail.Trapped.I got swept up in the wave.I had been stripped of everything and had been given a number for a name. That shit will humble you fasho".Tha Rebel still touches the hearts of many and will continue to do so untill the end of time" Im a born Rebel.Always was, always will be"." Know yourself.Know your history"!!!!One love. This is dedicated to all the souljaz who lost there lives due to gang violence, black, brown, and "all" those caught up in the systems grip. It's a horrible cycle we must break!!!!Take time out to think about those who've paved the way for us to be here.Realize we must pave the way for those coming up.It's up to US my niggaz.Be smart and be safe.Move with Gods speed.ThaREBEL.West Coast Rydaz818.ALL DAY EVERYDAY
