Royal Daffodil enjoyed a long association with the BBC test card transmissions, starting in the 1960's and being broadcast regularly well into the 1980's. As a composer Gordon Langford hardly needs any introduction. He was a prominent brass band composer and he wrote several test pieces for brass band championships. What is less well known is that he was employed by Hollywood as a score orchestrator he assisted in many blockbuster films; Raiders of the Lost Ark and Superman II are just a couple of examples.
