Originally from a tight knit, middle class family from Jamaica Queens, New York, Edward Comerford (ECee) as a child had always been around and in tune to music as his parents played the songs of Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald around the house. In later childhood years, his family migrated to Washington, D.C. where ECee formed friendships with other kids who were enamored with the Motown Sound of The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and the Jackson 5.

While in high school, ECee was a letter and award winning athlete in football, track and wrestling. Always singing and coming of age, he became greatly influenced by the soulful style singing groups of the day like: The Delfonics, The ChiLites, Black Ivory and Blue Magic. These type groups with their harmonizing vocals and cool choreography determined ECee to bring his tenor voice to a trio singing group called, All Purpose.

The '70's era brought the funk explosion as bands of the genre like Earth Wind & Fire, War, Mandrill and Parliament-Funkadelic became the style of music ECee wanted to emulate and produce. The unity, rhythms and melodies of the funk groups influenced him to join an area band called, Mass Destruction, as lead vocalist and percussionist.

ECee attended the University of Maryland at Eastern Shore majoring in Music Education. While there, he formed a funk and R&B band called, Imani, that played and toured area colleges and venues regionally.

After college, and leaving the band, ECee returned to Washington, D.C. to endeavor in studio production. His evolution from being on-stage as a performer to working the in-studio recording board was a natural transition. As he progressed, engineering other musicians and experimenting with sounds, ECee preferred to work behind the scenes as a producer, writer, composer and session singer.

Decades have honed his skills and talents as a producer, as ECee now heads his own production company, EC Productions, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. In his capacity, he serves as an Executive Producer to many projects, he writes, books artists for studio sessions, searches for new talents and handles music distribution. He also heads his own recording label, Alpha Omega Records.

Recently EC Productions and Alpha Omega Records have released several outstanding music projects, including two gospel music CDs, "Inspirational Bible Hymns" and "All We Owe, We Owe to God." ECee states that, "I wanted to put together a project that could be played all the time. It's a constant rework of our souls and spirits, as well as a testimony of my own personal life and spiritual relationship. God has been so good to me and has blessed me with great friends and a wonderful talent. All I owe, I owe to God, so I look to Him daily for direction and strength and give Him thanks."

EC Productions has an R&B project entitled, "Waiting on You," co-produced with Elvin Mason sounding a lot like his early influences of sexy soulful music.

Alpha Omega Records has also released two exciting jazz music projects entitled, "Elements" and "Elements Band 2." Co-produced with Johnnie Kent, this funk jazzy adventure features phenomenal artistry by some of the genre's best musicians and guest artist talents.

ECee is a brother of Omega Psi Phi, Nasty Fall of '76 Pi Epsilon Undergrad Chapter and BLL Graduate Chapter and, is very involved with his fraternity's works.
