Fuck the Main$tream Records or FTM Records as it originally was called is a small independent American record label that was started in the small Gulf Coast town of BeEville,Tx. The label was founded in early 2001 by William Daniel Thompson of Fuck the Main$tream to release the music of his band with the same name. That quickly changed within a few months of inception. Since then the small South Texas label has gone on to release more than 60 albums and has worked with artists from Texas to Amsterdam to bring the sounds of the underground to a new audiences everywhere.

In 2004 Adam Gonzales formerly of Feeling Zero/ currently of Obliterates jumped on board to help helm the controls of the label. Though in recent years his involvement has dissipated he is still hands on with each compilation.

Over the years Fuck the Main$tream Records has gone on to work with artists such as Obliterates, Picasso's Trigger, Victory is Ours, The Blasturds, Fuckemos, Zibabu, Cinema of Fear, Wil.T, Full Scale Riot, One Still Stands, Chainsaw Synphany, Santa Ana & the Goodtimes Opium Train, Barragan, Baby Earth, The Bloodies, The Haunted History, Nadadan, Kripke's Basement, Gasket, Feeling Zero, Lacerate, Salvation?, No Exit, Mothra [US], C.U.M., Evol Projekt Unknown, Pailface, Toxi Traumatic, Other Oddities, Operation Havok, and many many more.

Fuck the Main$tream Records is a NON-PROFIT independent Texas based D.I.Y. record label. We are non-profit in the sense that we take no profit from our sales - any & all revenue generated from any sale of merch is immediately put back into the production of more product. We semi-annually produce compilations featuring the works of our artists, friends, & other kickass D.I.Y. artists who are mostly from but not limited to Texas exclusively, as we have featured various artists from across the states & parts of Europe on our various comps over the years. We release a few new releases ever year along with various re-issues from our back catalog both physically [most exclusively only available here] & digitally which are more accessible through various digital retailers.

It is our hope that through years of independence, dedication, perseverance, & diligence in bringing you some of the best underground, unknown, experimental artists in Texas - year after year - that we will garner your respect & commitment to our music. Hopefully, you will like what you hear & will help spread the word about releases & artists so that they may someday get properly heard. We don't advertise.
