The Sundowners Live 1967 Medley - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 25, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
The Sundowners were a small time band who formed in New York State in the mid 60s. I supposed their biggest claim to fame was being chosen as the opening act and back up band (for the solo spots of the concert) for the Monkees 1967 summer tour. Some of the members of the band were also used as studio musicians on the Monkees third (Headquarters) and fourth (Pisces, Aqauris, Capricorn & Jones L.T.D) albums. The group themselves also issued a few singles and one album titled, Captain Nemo, which was released in 1968. They also made various appearances on tv shows such as To Catch A Thief and The Flying Nun. They officially disbanded in January of 2011. The video features a rare live recording of how the Sundowners opened the Monkees show.

The Sundowners lineup in this medley is -
Kim Capli - vocals, drums
Bobby Dick - vocals, bass
Dominick Demieri, Eddie Placidi - vocals, guitars
Eddie Brick - vocals, percussion

not sure which one is on harmonica.

The band had incredible range and musical abilities. They're surpassed what you'd consider a garage band. Their opening act consists of a medley of Beatles songs, a few Dave Clark 5 songs, and then a bunch of other 60s hits.
