Verdict: A good album with sharp production and intriguing songwriting, even if it doesn't feel like a full collaboration.

Overview: Whoever came up with the idea of combining the musical talents of David Byrne and St. Vincent should win the Nobel Peace Prize. The byproduct, Love This Giant, is a sprawling, eclectic amalgamation of both artists' nearly sinister vocal presence, crazed beats, horns, and guitars. Byrne and St. Vincent take turns redefining the listeners' interpretation of "weird" when it comes to music. There are some great tracks here, but they usually are attributable to whichever artist is featured on that track. This album overall feels more like a compilation of two similar artists' tracks rather than a collaboration. But while there are a few weaker spots, overall this album paves enough new ground and provides enough gems for us to stand behind it.
