DESCRIPTION:
Soul Reality were/are a London/Brighton based collective of like minded musicians who played occasional unrehearsed gigs including a one time residency at the famed 606 club in Chelsea. The Collective saw some of the best young pro players on the circuit pass through their ranks. Many who went on to have successful careers of their own like Jo Harman (now signed to major label V2) and/or become side/guest musicians to the stars, such as Carl Hudson (Prof Green), Katie Leone (Emile Sandi, Incognito), Mat Hector (Thomas Dobly), Terry Lewis (Mamas Gun, touring US stars etc), Alison David (Red Snapper, Mezzowave), Lisa Covington (Jools Holland R&B Orchestra) to name but a few. Indeed it was largely because these players became in such demand that, sadly, the Collective effectively disbanded. There's always talk of a re union gig, but...fitting it in could be the perennial problem! Not much live recorded performances exist but here is singer/pianist Robin Scott, guitarist Terry Lewis, bassist Gary Liedemann, and percussionist Stevie Bacon, with Alison David providing impromptu backing vocalist performing the tasteful, spacious version of the classic 'Harvest Moon' at a gig at the Cellar Bar, Brighton. www.bigiam.co.uk
