Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Madaleine is of Japanese/European and American heritage. Her mother was a professional dancer at the world famous Moulin Rouge in Paris, France and her father was a critically acclaimed classical guitarist, greatly revered in his home city of Osaka Japan.

As far as artistic talent is concerned, it's clear to see that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

After graduating with a first class Bachelor of Arts Degree in music from the University of Strathclyde, Madaleine spent her formative years on the road gaining vital experience and honing her craft with bands such as the BAFTA award winning, OSCAR and GRAMMY nominated soul revivalists ‘The Commitments’ and electro fusionists The Everything Treatment.

Live appearances have included performing with The Average White Band, Edwin Collins, The Skids, Horse, BA Robertson, Paul Carrick of Mike And The Mechanics, Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh, and Karine Polwart.

Other highlights include opening for The Fun Lovin Criminals, Al Green, Dr.John, Mayer Hawthorne, Hue and Cry, Edwin Starr, and British soul diva Alice Russell.

As a lead and session vocalist, Madaleine has toured the world extensively and performed at venues, theatres and music festivals across the USA, Canada, Norway, France, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Africa, Spain and Sweden.

As a songwriter, Madaleine has had compositions performed by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and The Everything Treatment.

Madaleine's songwriting and vocal talent is showcased on her recent album 'Every Minute', co-produced by Glasgow based singer-songwriter, Ross Hamilton.

"EVEN IN POP THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR SHEER CLASS, AND MADALEINE PRITCHARD HAS CLASS BY THE BUCKET LOAD. I ALSO SUSPECT SHE HAS A LITTLE RAGTIME IN HER SOUL."

Stephen Duffy. BBC Radio Scotland. June 2010.

"A FEROCIOUS TALENT. THE PRODUCTION QUALITY OF THIS ALBUM IS OUTSTANDING!"

Linley Hamilton. BBC Radio Ulster. June 2010.

“AN AMAZING SINGER WHO GIVES ME GOOSE BUMPS WHEN I LISTEN TO HER. THE FIRST TIME SHE PERFORMED ON MY RADIO SHOW HER SINCERITY, PASSION FOR SINGING AND HER INDESCRIBABLE TALENT THAT SHE USES SO FLUENTLY BLEW ME AWAY.

A STAR IN THE MAKING AND ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR IN THE FUTURE."

Sean Neilson, Pulse Radio FM Glasgow
