Platinum music producer/rapper Soopafly has completed recording his new studio album, tentatively titled Best Kept Secret. The rapper, who is currently on Tour in Europe with Snoop Dogg, hasn't pencilled in an exact release date for the follow-up to 2007's Bangin West Coast, but is expected to release the disc in the fall.

The Long Beach, California emcee, and member of Snoop's Dogg Pound has enlisted guest features from Tha Dogg Pound, Short Khop, Mykestro, Damani, Bad Lucc, J Black, Pilot, Terrace Martin, Toke tha Smoke, and Deacon of the Chuuch. The new album, 18 brand new songs, includes "Move Too Fast", "GFunk Martian" which features Terrace Martin on vocoder, and the title track "Best Kept Secret" featuring Goldie Loc, Maylay & Kokane, and additional production from Daz Dillinger, Tmg Music Group (fly2k prod), Tweet, JellyRoll, 1500, and Dām funk.

Soopafly, real name Priest Josef Brooks, met Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre during his teens, and proved himself with his keyboard skills. Assigned his first piece of work for Death Row Records on the soundtrack Murder Was The Case, playing keyboards for Dr. Dre and Ice Cube on the track "Natural Born Killaz", as well as his first production credit with "Who Got Some Gangsta Shit" featuring the Dogg Pound. He went on to produce on multi-platinum selling albums including; Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Food, Snoop Dogg's Tha Doggfather, 2Pac's All Eyez On Me, and Death Row's Chronic 2000. He was also featured on the movie soundtracks to A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, on the song "I Don't Hang", and Nothing To Lose on the Billboard charting single "Put The Monkey In It" with Daz Dillinger.

To date, Soopafly has released two independent solo albums Dat Whoopty Woop which birthed the hit single "Like It or Not", and Bangin West Coast. In 2006, a rap group called Dubb Union was formed. It featured Soopafly, Damani and Bad Lucc. After inking a deal with Koch Records and Doggystyle Records, the groups debut album Snoop Dogg Presents: Dubb Union was released in 2008.

Soopafly is also currently working on new projects by Short Khop, and Latoiya Williams.
