Sonora de Llegar was formed in Villa Alemana, Fifth Region of Chile, in the summer of 2000 when a few friends and former members of punk rock bands in the area decided to get together for make music. They start rehearsing with the idea of merging the styles like ska, reggae, rockabilly punk-rock, latin rhythms etc., and so were quick to play live in March of that year, to keep repeating successful and amazing performances in different parts of the region, quickly becoming a great number of followers, to include a block of bronzes (saxophone, trombone and trumpet) as an attractive sound and a stage set full of energy. So continue writing and playing to record their first demo in 2001 "Démole" with 5 tracks, and at that time played in various pubs in the area and schools of Valparaiso. An important moment in their career would be the supporting to the Spanish band Ska- p in 2003 to 6,000 people at the Estadio Víctor Jara in Santiago, and several concerts with bands such as Los Miserables, Lafloripondio, Chico Trujillo, Fiskales ad hok. etc. For the 2005 edit a second record with 13 tracks: "Manifiesta" .Note the appearance of Sonora de Llegar in all versions of “Carnavales Culturales de Valparaiso”, and their participation in the “Escuelas de Rock” events, where would occupy a space in a 2005 compilation album with the single Sudateste that play in some Chilean radio that summer. In April 2007 are presented in the Festival Vive Latino in Club Hipico of Santiago, sharing the stage with important latinoamericans bands like Divididos, Los Tres, Lafloripondio, Attaque 77 Fiskales ad-hok, Los Miserables. In May 2007, with the help of "Macha" Asenjo, (leader of Chico Trujillo) produce and edit their official album debut: “Sonora de Llegar” after being tagged in the seal of largest circulation in Chile, Selllo Azul. The record was made in Santiago de Chile and later mixed and mastered in Berlin, Germany in Mad Dog studies by Rod Gonzalez ,bassist of the emblematic german band: “Die Ärtze” and Aldo Asenjo. In 2010 just released a new album called "Fiesta Primate" album containing 14 songs through various styles like ska, reggae, rockandroll, hardcore-punk and cumbia. In 2010 Sonora de Llegar was include in the Echte Übersee Recs Vol 4 of Ubersee Records in Europe with the single “Vicio”.
