Steve Lawson - Requiem For Industry (solo bass + looping) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 09, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
From the album 'Referendum' - music.stevelawson.net/album/referendum

Video-week continues - the third one of this set. This one is the first use of an amazing new sample set I've got of metal scrapes, shakes, hits, rattles... all kinds of metallic noises - the sound of Tom Waits putting his bins out. :)

Anyway, those sounds plus a bit of thinking about where the UK is heading in terms of its economy (and obviously the discussion around the EU, cos that's pretty much to the forefront of everyone's minds here right now) provided the title...

Gear list includes my Elrick 6 String bass, Dunlop volume pedal, Smooth Hound Wireless, MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe, Bass Envelope Filter and 2 Bass Distortions, TC Electronic Flashback and HOF Mini, Lexicon MPX-G2, Korg Mini Kaoss Pad, Keith McMillen Quneo playing sounds from FL Studio, all looped in the Looperlative LP1.

This and the other two new tunes will be appearing as a subscriber-only EP very soon - head to http://stevelawson.bandcamp.com/subscribe for more of that...
