Soeren Kepler

Soeren Kepler started drumming at age 8 in the local marching band. As a teenager he discovered the drumkit, playing for fun with his mates in high school. After high school graduation, Soeren served in the Royal Danish Naval Band as a marching tenor drummer, and went on to further pursue his career in music at the London-based international music school - Drum Tech.

Upon returning to Denmark in 97, Soeren passed the auditions for the Conservatory of Northern Jutland and graduated in 2004. Since then he has been busy consolidating his position as a sought-after professional freelance drummer.

At present time Soeren teaches at music schools, directs larger orchestras (VMS steel band), and he has extensive experience directing marching bands (Saeby, Loekken).

His freelance work includes theatres, band concerts, drum clinics and he also does recording sessions for various artists/bands (lately Mr.Blister and FS Orlonn, The Feeks, Bjerne From). Currently Soeren is involved with 3 acts - FS Orlonn, Mr. Blister and Dream Theater Jam.

Soeren keeps himself updated with his drumming by travelling to Los Angeles once or twice per year to play and study with some of the finest musicians - to name a few - Dave Weckl (Chick Corea), Virgil Donati (Steve Vai), Ralph Humprey (Frank Zappa), Zoro (Lenny Kravitz), Steve Ferrone (Eric Clapton, Tom Petty), Chad Wackerman (Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth).
