Sigrey

Sigrey is a celebrated and award-winning Faroese singer/violinist/composer/educator with musical roots in classical violin, gospel and contemporary soul. She graduated from Bærums Music School & Thames Valley University in London in 2005 with honors.



Throughout her career Sigrey has had the pleasure of performing and collaborating with many great artists - to name a few - gospel queen Etta Cameron & Ron Kenoly, worldknown English chef Jamie Oliver, Oslo Soul Children, Faroese artist Magni Christiansen, Danish rising star FS Orlonn (opening for the legendary American superband Toto in the summer of 2007).



Sigreys first shot at international stardom was with Norwegian pop girl trio Grace 1998 that was signed by Sony Norway. Grace was a very succesful act in Norway, and even received attention from the global music market (especially Asia and Europe) due to regular performances on MTV.Grace would later disband due to label issues.



In 2005 Sigrey moved back to the Faroe Islands to begin the recording of her first solo album Nordic Soul. She would move on to even found her own record label Sigreymusic, which now distributes "Nordic Soul" on the Faroe Islands.
