Rammstein in Quebec City - Curtain Drop and Rammlied - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 15, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
I've still got a couple of Gb of raw video from the Rammstein show in July, and since it was raining today, I figured it was a good time to keep cutting it together.

This was easily the best live show I've seen, but it wasn't just the music. Everything these guys do is HUGE. If it isn't face mounted flamethrowers and soap-suds cannons, it's the energy they create with their audience.

The crowd of 100,000 was ready when the drone of the first song started, so they started jumping, chanting and pumping their fists. As the soundboard pushed a couple of megawatts of sound out on The Plains, the black curtains dropped to reveal a 5 story German flag with throbbing lights, fireworks and sound you could FEEL in your chest.

Afterwards, what do 100,000 metal fans do after the band goes home? They shout, they cheer, and then everybody files out in an orderly fashion (unlike Habs fans in Montreal)

One fellow tried to live the rock'n'roll legend and start a fire by shooting a flare over the crowd into a tent, but the fire didn't catch, so I guess nobody will be writing a three-chord rock song about him ....
