FAQ - since I get an overloaded amount of questions on this!

1. Can I go with someone else who is not auditioning?
Yes, but if they are not auditioning, they are not allowed to be in the waiting room where the auditions will be taking place, they will wait for you outside.

2. Is everyone who auditions REALLY good and beautiful?
No. Not at all, don't worry about that!

3. Do I have to dye my hair/dress up nicely?
Try to dress nicely, it makes an impression, but don't dress too 'sexy' or too revealing, that just kind of comes off as desperate. Dyeing your hair believe it or not DOES make a difference, you can dye it semi - permanent which washes off if you don't want to dye it for a permanent period. I think around 15/25 of the people who got in to the second round had dyed hair 'coincidentally'

3. 'I'm a guy, can I dance to a girl song?'
Yes, sure why not? Just make sure it doesn't come off as funny or they won't take you seriously. Don't do dances like gee!

4. Does it matter about my race?
I'll be honest - priorities are asians. If you are not asian, still go for it! If you have the talent, I'm sure JYP will consider. However I believe koreans/chinese/thai may get first priority.

5. How long does it take for them to get back to you?

They usually announce the second round winners within 2 weeks - 3 weeks. If you are really lucky/they are really interested, they should come up to you personally and tell you to do another dance/sing for them. If you are REALLY good, you might go straight into shortlists.

6. How should i introduce myself?
You don't. Just act polite, bow if you can (not 90 degrees its not a tea ceremony) and knock the judges out! :) remember look at the camera, stand on the T.

7. What song/dances do you recommend?
Honestly, I can't. It's all up to your talent level, your type of voice, and your style of dancing. For singing, if you have a softer voice, simply don't go for songs that require extremely powerful/loud vocals. That's just my general rule of thumb.

8. 'I'm not good at dancing/singing. Should I still go?'
Try it! It's a wonderful experience, and you won't regret it. Almost 70% of the people who auditioned...well were not that good, so don't be scared!

9. 'Do I just bring one CD?'
No. Test it out first, I was burning it last minute! Bring at least 2 copies, 3 would be best. You never know what's going to happen!

10. 'When do the next auditions start?'
Find it yourself you lazy as%! Just kidding. I'm not sure, check their websites, I just auditioned but I can't answer all those questions.

11. 'Wish me good luck please~"
no. jk, good luck!

Here's a super super long account of what happened on the 17th of December, my first official audition for a korean entertainment. This video is 12 minutes long, so I don't assume any of you will watch this - which is perfectly fine, i just wanted to share what happened on the day. :)

at around the last 2 minutes shows a few crappy iphone movies of the place. Thanks for watching, merry christmas!
btw. if you sing, you do not use CD'S.
