SINISTER LIVE REVIEW FROM MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2010.

Sunday, May 30th
SINISTER (outside) - This was the band that made me wake up at 1 in the
afternoon, as they went on at 3:30… but it would obviously be worth it.
The Dutch had a respectable presence at this fest, with Asphyx playing Saturday,
and Sinister and Pestilence playing Sunday.
Anyway, these guys (minus the drummer) all had really close-shaven scalps,
which was a bit of a change from the usual hessian curls.
The vocals were the first thing that came to my mind: menacing,impersonal,
voracious. The sound overall was a perfect conveyance of classic
Sinister, a band that focuses on depth and a mean, driving riff; the show itself
could not possibly represent these guys any better, and that is why it was
one of the best of the entire fest.

After a long time of silence, "Blastcorps" is back
At the moment the band is recording a 4 track e.p with the titel "REBORNERS"
The line-up for this piece is - Peter Paul(guitars/vocals) - Alex Paul(solo guitars) Paul Beltman(drums) - Bas van den Bogaard(bass) Adrie
Kloosterwaard(vocals).

Metal Mind Productions will release "Prophecies Denied" live CD from Sinister on 21st September in Europe and 1st December in USA (via MVD). Digipack edition is limited to 1000 copies.



THE BLOOD PAST . Collection of all the early, long-time out-of-print demo & EP material released by SINISTER.
Includes their 2 EP's from 1990, the 1990 and 1991 demos, the split EP with MONASTERY from 1991 plus one bonus track.



At the moment we are working on some new stuff with SINISTER. We are doing this under the working-title "LEGACY OF ASHES".
