Have to honestly say the vocals on the albums are the best that have ever been discovered PLEASE give us more. I read about Brent Millsop in europe metal mags, heard the sound and am convinced he is the most veritle AOR voice ever! .The lyric of the opening track goes "I've read the stories and the players, at least a million times" which could almost apply to a band like Siloam. This foursome from Ottowa, Canada play the kind of classic heavy metal which now exists in its own niche in rock, vilified and laughed at by those unmoved by the crunching power chords and shrieking vocalists but beloved by headbangers young and old. Many of the licks, rhythms, melodies and vocal mannerisms will be recognised by those who like their rock RAW though this team of musicianaries ring the changes nimbly on "Daddy's Little Girl" by introducing a funk bass and some amusing spoken cutaways. But mostly its clanking riffs, and anthemic choruses as familiar as a favourite old leather jacket. There's some seriously hot axe, a moving mega ballad "Lost In The Rain" and very generous playing time. Timeless rock packing quite a spiritual punch. And Very Very good melodic metal album. It compares stylistically with Dokken or Bon Jovi, without sounding 'just like' either of those bands. The songwriting here, as with 'Sweet Destiny', is really strong. The best song is the haunting Welcome To Despair. What a great song! There's some pain behind the lyrics on this one. I have to knock one thing: what is up with Brand New Man? What a dumb song. Other than that, though, this album sounds terrified:
