DESCRIPTION:
We go round Saitama-shi Bunka Centre (or Saitama City Culture Centre) opened in 1985, which houses large and small multi-purpose halls, a public library, meeting rooms and restaurants. First at 0.03 we see the slogan in black & white written in the 5-7-5 syllable haiku style by a primary school boy, "Omoiyari / sore wa kokoro no / okurimono" ("Consideration—it is a gift from the heart"), which was selected amongst others by the local "Youth Nurturing Society". Ignorance of the vernacular would be such bliss when it comes to walking the streets in Japan that are full of bullshit words and phrases.
