The Seymour Duncan 805 is based on the legendary 808 circuit with some nice improvements. The 805 uses a MC33178 chip, has an expanded gain range and has an active 3 Band EQ. Seymour Duncan dialed in the 805 just right, enabling you to go from a chimey clean boost, to a raunchy crunch tone, all the way up to fat saturated leads. The 805 also works great as a boost into an already crunchy amp.
