“This song is for the soldier overseas whose family is back home. For the woman with cancer lying in a hospital bed tonight and for believers who are being persecuted for their faith.” These are words from my mother, Nancy, who just called me tonight as I was asking God what to say about this song. A missionary for almost 40 years in Congo, Africa. A wife who watched her husband (Jim) go through Leukemia and 9 months of chemo a year ago. She’s a mother of 4 and grandmother of 16. She’s buried 2 of her grandchildren including my daughter Audrey. She said, “It is giving God permission to be God, and I am praying the lyrics of 'Lord I Trust You' over my children and grand children."

The best and worst of days are yet to come. Be glorified regardless of the cost. Be magnified whether joy or loss - Lord I Trust You. As you walk through today I hope you press on trusting in Jesus. When you have no where else to turn you can still say “The only hope I have is that You will be enough.”

This song was inspired by believers in persecution who are standing for the name of Jesus even when it costs them their lives. We love the work that @opendoors does and how they come alongside persecuted Christians and help equip them. (Todd)
