Selah!

From an early age Selah's talents have been recognised by friends and family alike.
Age 10 she had appeared live on GMTV with her church choir. Selah singing lead vocals. In the National "Voice of '99" talent show, Selah was one of the youngest entrants at age 11 and beat competitors to reach 2nd place. 2003 a 15 year old Selah provided backing vocals for Mercury award winner Ms Dynamite at the world renowned Brit Awards.



For a 2006 1xtra podcast special where signed artist sponsor unsigned, Selah was specifically hand picked by one of the UK's greatest vocalist and chart topper Lemar. After being interviewed by him on radio she also performed for Lemar in the BBC Maida Vale studios where he referred to her as star in the making.
Returning to the BBC Maida Vale again in 2008 as part of the BBC Asian Networks broadcast for her collaboration with D Boy for his Playback album where urban music meets Desi music.



From singing in her room in her humble Brixton beginnings, Selah has come far to perform on the same stage as some of the UK's greatest talents. Working with Akala on his debut album, supporting the likes of Missy Elliot and also lending her vocals to Ms Dynamite 2006 album release also provided a great experience for her.



As a featured vocalist Selah graced the airwaves of daytime radio on RADIO ONE, where the song 'Because of you' was SINGLE OF THE WEEK on Sara Cox's show and the likes of Zane Lowe dubbing it the 'HOTTEST RECORD IN THE WORLD'
Selah recently embarked on a nationwide school tour entitled 'Follow Your Dreams', where she performed to the young kids and also encouraged them to stay motivated and positive towards their future, reinforcing the need for focus, hard work and dedication in whatever it is they wanted to do. This tour was very successful and gained Selah a good growing fan base.



Selah is currently working on her debut album and has been in the studio cutting records with producers such as Davinche, Chris Braide, Fraser T Smith, Steve Chrisanthou, Pete Versette, Myx Quest to name a few - follow her on twitter.com/superstarselah to follow her as she takes her journey to success!
