DESCRIPTION:
On February 10, 2015, Sean McMahon (Department Head, Composition) conducted a 25-piece orchestra in the McNally Smith Auditorium, bringing his cinematic compositions to life in a live setting for the very first time. McMahon has worked on a number of scores for major films like Spider-Man 3, Dreamgirls, Ghost Rider and The Grudge 3, and has recently composed music for a handful of video games, including top-rated mobile app Jump Dewds.
The Live at Five concert series showcases the diversity and musicianship of McNally Smith College of Music faculty, backed by some of the best musicians in the Twin Cities. All Live at Five concerts are FREE and open to the public.
