Initially I had written this album off as much lesser than the two that came before it, the classics "Are You Driving Me Crazy? and "The Problem With Me." Spending some time with it, this album has quite a few good tracks, and a helluvan opening first two.

It's the most atmospheric work Seam ever put out with tracks like Nisei Fight Song. It's also the last full length album the band ever put out, and it sure feels that way with songs like the aforementioned Nisei Fight Song; references to their previous works like the somber Inching Towards Jaurez sounding somewhat like Road To Madrid from "The Problem With Me." Aloha Spirit somewhat mimicking the looped guitar nature of Autopilot from the same album, and again carries that sense of resignation and finality. The album's lyrics go a variety of ways, from getting drunk and going for a drive, to giving up on dreams, to some songs getting political like "In The Sun." Good album, strong opening. Though I will say I think it'd flow better without "In The Sun."

"Aloha Spirit" is amazing to me, perfectly encapsulates the feeling of moving on and forward, reluctantly or otherwise.
