It was released as the first single from his second album "Daniel Powter" in 2005 and reached #1 spot in the U.S. and Ireland. In the U.S. it became the most successful single of 2006 as ranked by Billboard Magazine. It is also a popular song to play in sporting events whenever the home team loses. It was covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks in their 2007 "Alvin and the Chipmunks" film. Their version made the charts in January 2008 reaching #86 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His EP sold 1,000 copies here within six months - a feat by local industry standards. Currently, Hazrul is a member of Vocaluptuous, which is well-known for its R&B, Pop, A'cappella and Jazz performances.
