Safari Sound

From the gullys of the dirty sauf hails the illest jugglin machine in Scandinavia. Safari Sound was founded year 2003 by DJ Shirkhan. A few years later Sammy K joined the sound and ever since the dynamic duo has been spreading Jamaican music (and everything else with a bit of soul and bass innit) all around them.



Today Safari plays regularly in the Scandinavian countries and are frequently touring in Europe. Except sharing the same stage as some giants in the game such as Beenie Man, T.O.K, Elephant Man, Wayne Wonder, Demarco and Mr Vegas to name a few, Safari have been running several clubs in the Malmö region, such as Original Bangarang and Gully Creepin, that all have played an important role in the development of the scene in that area. Once in a while you can also hear the Safari Dancehall Show at Din Gata 100.6, on Swedish National Radio. Year 2009 Safari won the title ”Best DJ’s Of The Year” in a huge contest among DJ's in Malmö and 2010 they are going harder than ever. At the moment Sammy K is based in Los Angeles representing the movement in Northern America while Shirkhan keeps the fire burning in Europe.



When you hear Safari Sound play, you will forget all your worries and party till your hair drops out of your hair follicle, memba that! Safari is specialized in playing the latest reggae & dancehall chunez but they can also play everything from 70’s reggae, 80’tals digital dancehall, 90’s ragga to rnb, hip hop, funky house, crunkhall and tropical bass. Of course DJ Shirkhan & Sammy K spices up the jugglin with adding a dose of exclusive dubplates and unique remixes.
