Geiriau:
Ym more bach y mileniwm
naeth rhywbeth jyst stopio bod.
O'dd y 'myd bach i wyneb i waered,
o'n i ddim lle o'n i i fod.

Dwi'n gwbod fod yr hewl ma'n hir,
ma'n galw arna i.
A tra fod y 'myd i'n gul,
ma'n cau amdana i.
Dwi'n gwbod fod yr hewl ma'n hir,
ma'n galw arna i
ac ma rhaid ma rhaid i fi...

Clatsh! Bang! Bant a fi
lan yr A47dim dime'n y mhoced i.
(x5)

Nes i lanio ar ynys lon
mewn bwthyn ar y filltir aur.
Oedd e'n eiddo i fenyw o'r enw Danuta,
o'dd hi'n bygwth sticio 'mhen yn y pair.

Ac er fod Mona Mona wir wrth fy modd
Ma' Danuta Danuta yn gyrru fi o 'ngo'
ac er bod Mona Mona wir wrth fy modd
ma'n rhaid i fi fynd nol...

Clatsh! Bang! Bant a fi
lawr yr A47dim mynedd ar ol da fi.
(x5)

Yn y diwedd des i nol a des i stop
ar fynydd llawen Llandygai.
O'n i'n cloi y gwyddau yn y cwt bob nos
ond doedd y drws 'na jyst fyth ynghau.

Ac tra bod y mynydd cry'
yn nefoedd i mi,
wel oedd y gwyddau'n dod, yn dod amdana i.
A tra bod y mynydd cry yn nefoedd i mi
o'dd rhaid o'dd rhaid i fi...

Clatsh! Bang! Bant a fi
lan yr A47dim dime'n y mhoced i.
Clatsh! Bang! Bant a fi
lan yr A47dim mynedd ar ol da fi.

Tra fod popeth yn y byd mawr crwn yn dymchwel o nghwmpas i,
dwi'n gyrru lan a lawr yr un hewl.

English Translation Lyrics:

Fflur Dafydd says: "I spent the best part of a decade driving up and down the A470 - trying to live in North and South Wales at the same time. This song visits some of the strange places I encountered en route, from the house on Mynydd Llandygai where I lived among geese, to the tiny cottage on Anglesey where I was paid frequent visits by a fiery landlady. As the coda states: "Even if everything in the world collapses / I'll still be driving up and down the same road."

In the early morn of the millennium,
something just ceased to be.
My little world was turned upside down,
I wasn't where I was supposed to be.
I know that this road is long,
it's calling out to me.
And whilst my world is narrow,
it's closing in on me .
I know that this road is long,
it's calling out to me
and I have to, I have to...

Clutch! Bang! Off I go
on the A470 no money in my pockets.

I landed on a jovial island
in a cottage on the golden mile.
It belong to a woman called Danuta,
she threatened to stick my head in the pot.
And though Mona Mona is delightful
Danuta, Danuta is driving me crazy
And though Mona Mona is delightful
I have to go back...

Cltuch! Bang! Off I go
on the A470 no patience left in me.

In the end I came back and came to a stop
On the merry mountain of Llandygai
I would lock the geese in the hut each night
but that door just wouldn't stay closed.

And whilst the strong mountain
was a haven to me,
well the geese would come, come after me.
And whilst the strong mountain was a haven to me
I had to, I had to...

Clutch! Bang! Off I go
on the A470 no money in my pockets.
Cltuch! Bang! Off I go
on the A470 no patience left in me.

Even if everything in the world collapses,
I'll still be driving up and down the same road.
