PUBLISHED:  Nov 03, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Video produced, shooted and mounted by Thierry Calleau (camera), assisted by Julie Calleau (camera) and Frédéric Encuentra (camera 5D) for South West Souls, in 2011 june 3rd at Cenac 360Jazz Festival near Bordeaux/France.

My band :
- Sylvain Gontard (trumpet)
- Frédéric Borey (tenor sax)
- Jean-Yves Jung (piano)
- Mauro Gargano (acoustic bass)
- Roger "Kemp" Biwandu (leader, composer, drums)

The way you see that video is exactly the way I start all the concert with my band, audience being in the dark during the Haka that I recorded for my 1st album "Influences" released in 2007.
Of course I'm happy that The All Blacks are now rugby World Champion. So much deserved for the most beautiful rugby team of the History of that game, respect.

Then we can watch and listen the theme "Generation", it's the 1st song we can hear on my 2nd album "From Palmer" Released in 2009.

The title "Generation" is for giving my respect to the generation of players of my favorite french rugby team Le Stade Toulousain, who won the domestic championship season 2007/2008. And also for giving respect to the soccer team of my town Les Girondins de Bordeaux when they won the domestic championship season 2008/2009, they were playing really good at that time, it's not the case anymore. :-)

Anyway, enjoy some Jazz music, I'm inspired by Jeff "Tain Watts", Vinnie Colaiuta, Branford and Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, John Beasley, John Patitucci and many more, I hope you'll like, thanks for checking it.
