Alix Ewandé, drummer and vocalist is finally crossing the border between session player and artist with her debut solo album, "Detox", a smart and elegant mixture of pop melodies and organic beats. She's taking on board a brillant and original musician team, made of special people she had a musical crush on."DETOX", a genuine moment of her songwritting delivers nice and easy songs, poetic lyrics sat on infectious beats and bass lines, naïve melodies meeting strong harmonies. The main line being "express as much as possible", everybody on this album is performing a sensation of his own to tell parts of the stories.

Beautifull, half french and cameroonese, she was born and raised in a rich musical surrounding, discovering at a very early age artists like Miles Davis or Herbie Hancock. A strong personnality and extreme choices have built up her sensitive and groovy playing of soul jazz or afro music. She's been working with several acts worldwide (as Terry Callier or Emilie Simon) before starting her solo career. The ecclectism of her collaborations reveals her as one of these drummers with a sound of their ownon stilettosif you please



Alix is additionally an endorsee for Yamaha Drums and Paiste Cymbal.



DETOX has been co realised with Madreza and mixed by Timour Kardenas.
