This clip is a great example of the kind of gain the Strategy shines for when pushing the tube preamp with higher Gain settings and driving just two KT-88 power tubes in the Low Power mode. The Strategy is capable of a wide range of driven tones throughout all it's settings but at it's core, it's one of the world's most powerful all-tube bass amplifiers and it was primarily designed to deliver extraordinary headroom and clean power as it's foundation (with drive as a secondary possibility). Great clipped and driven sounds can be found in all Voices, although 4 & 5 will keep the low end the tightest and punchiest. The balance of power section drive in Low Power combined with the fine tuning capabilities of the 9-band Graphic EQ and sweet tube preamp gain comes together to offer a myriad of Classic rock growl, grit and grind, just waiting to be explored.
