Classe '82, esordisce nel circuito delle competizioni per dj all’età di 17 anni, classificandosi al primo posto nelle seguenti gare:

La sua passione per la musica negli ultimi anni lo ha portato ad animare i dancefloor di tutta Italia, attestandosi come uno tra i più quotati deejay hip hop e funk della nostra scena, e collaborando con gruppi di spicco del panorama rap, su tutti Noyz Narcos, Raiz degli Almamegretta e i Colle Der Fomento con i quali proponeva uno show innovativo che vedeva sul palco la presenza di due deejay che suonano contemporaneamente.

Forte della sua esperienza live, ha animato gli after-parties dei live di artisti americani del calibro di De la Soul, Royce da 5’9’’ e Non Phixion.

Ultimo tassello di una carriera breve ma intensa, l’importante collaborazione musicale con Alex Britti, tanto in studio quanto dal vivo, che dura ormai da più di un anno e mezzo. Il sodalizio ha visto Gengis impegnato come dj ufficiale del tour italiano nei teatri, al Cornetto Free Music Festival del 2005 e del 2006, al Tim Tour 2005 e alle varie convention di Radio e Video Italia. In televisione ha partecipato ai programmi Cd live, Top of the Pops, Festivalbar, All Music Live, Rismi Festival.



Born in Rome, in 1982, Gengis Khan (real name Loris Malaguti) grew up at a time when hip hop, jungle, reggae, dancehall and electronic music had all, to veryng extents, taken off big time in the Italian capital.

In his early teens he began collecting vinyl and by fefteen had begun to DJ, swiftly developing his own unique style, At seventeen he began to compete in different nation DJ tournaments and has to date won first place in the following contests:

Gengis Khan's talent really comes across on stage, where his exuberant energy, couples with an evident passion for the music he plays, sets dancefloors heaving to funky hip hop beats and scratches.

His popularity has boomed in recent years: he has toured all over Italy and much of Europe, livened up the after_parties of high-profile US artists - including but not only: De La Soul, Royce da 5'9" and Non Phixon - and in considered an influental figure within Italy's rap scene. He often appears on stage with Noyz Narcos from Rome's "TruceKlan" (currently one of the most notorious rap bands in Italy), Raiz from "Almanegretta" and the old school Roman rap band "Colle der Fomento", with whom he has devised an innovative set in which two DJs play simultaneously on stage. in addition to this he has, during the past years and a half collaborated booth in the studio and on stage with the mainstream jazz and blues musician Alex Britti.

This exciting union of musically oriented minds has had extremely positive out-comes, allowing Khan to tour with Britti as his official DJ on the "Italian Theatres Tour", at the "Cornetto Free Music Festival" (2005/2006), at the "TIM tour 2005" and various other radio and video conventions in Italy.
