Biography
After gaining tons of experience while gratefully backing many fine artists, Stone Michaels decided to create "The Stone Michaels Group"; a group where everyone had creative input. For the next two years musicians came and went but the "right" mix just never seemed to materialize.
Without giving up hope, but definitely needing a break, Stone put his dream aside for a bit and went back to being a support player for a national artist, this time, he quickly became the band leader. While playing at The Sturgis Motor Cycle Rally in 2009, due to unforeseen circumstances, the nameless backing band had to step up and take on its own identity. That was when "House of Stone" was born. The trip to Sturgis was a very trying but awesome experience; an experience that ultimately caused the artist and House of Stone to part ways.

Towards the end of 2013, the guys started getting the urge to move further in the industry. This prompted them to sit back and look at the music they were writing and decide what genre is best for them. This set the stage for the bands current lineup.

Their original music is based around a driving rhythm section, strong guitars in the style of Dickey Betts, Dwayne Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Marshall Tucker, etc. Stone's vocals are strongly influenced by the likes of these same artists with a touch of soul from James Brown and Etta James' era.

So, Southern Rock seems like the way to go.

Stone Michaels is a singer/song writer/guitarist and a Nashville recording artist that will knock your sox off with high flying, tasty blues guitar riffs as well as high powered and subtle vocals.

Rob Curcio is not only a smooth, grooving, in your face bassist that really knows how to fill the void with great bass tone, he is also our band manager and booking agent and builds custom basses in his spare time.

Mike Brennan is a musical wonder, with thunderous drum beats that not only keeps us honest and in tempo, but also adds that "rock" feel to our music. A graduate of M.I.T., he teaches guitar, bass and drums, and is a great song writer in his own right.

Craig Day is a keyboard wizard who has written songs for television and such along with performing live with some of the best musicians in the world.

Catching one of their shows is a treat you won't want to miss!
