I can't even begin to tell you how much Anamanaguchi has been a musical influence on me for the past few months or so. Back in June I played their newest album, Endless Fantasy pretty much on repeat for three weeks straight. I've always been blown away at their ability to craft melodies that are both blazing fast and still catchy as hell. If I could, I would do guitar covers of everything they've ever done. But enough ball gargling. This last month of summer I decided to take on covers that would be really challenging. I saw Rock Club mentioned a lot and shyed away from it since it sounded absolutely insane to play from listening to it in the game. Turns out, I was not wrong. It took a long time to get all of the riffs just right even after having to ease up on timing for some stuff. I've gotta say, this song is probably the most grooving song at 200 bpm I've ever heard in my life!

Arranging Anamanaguchi's work has never been even remotely easy since most of the stuff is a complete fuck flurry of chords and harmonies, but I think I did an okay job with this one considering my last few Scott Pilgrim covers were a bit off in my opinion. I'm trying to take a much more bare approach to my mixing to try and get every instrument as prominent as possible with the tones I've got. I've been taking a lot of leaps with my produciton habits this year and I usually regret it and reupload, but I'm not going to get better unless I take some risks! Hope you enjoy this none-the-less!

I've got something relatively heavy and silly again for you next week. See ya then!
