PUBLISHED:  May 15, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
The Beatles Tape Op Richard Lush tells stories from the Sgt Pepper's Sessions at Abbey Road.
AudioTechnology magazine recently awarded Richard Lush our Producer/engineer Lifetime Achievement Award. We spent a few days listening to Richard tell his stories of life at Abbey Road with The Beatles, including sessions for 'A Day in the Life', accidentally botching a Lennon vocal take, what John, Paul, George, Ringo and the other George were like to work with, and engineer Geoff Emerick's revolutionary engineering.
We also walked through his career in Australia producing and/or engineering hits like Sherbet's 'Howzat', Stevie Wright's 'Evie' and the music for the Sydney Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
