Years ago I road the train from Mexicali to Puerta Vallarta in Mexico. It was an amazing journey, mountains, deserts, tropical jungle, pretty much what the song describes. I was a heartbroken kid at the time and what I found out is that your memories travel along with you, you can't just hop onto a train or jump into a car and hope to outrun them.
