Almost 15 years on since their debut release on Atjazz's lauded Mantis Recordings, Rhythm Plate are set to release their debut album 'Off The Charts' through Lost My Dog Records on 9th September 2013.

'Off The Charts' is far more than just a collection of songs, even to the extent that it runs as a seamless album. It is the product of more than three years work by Matt Rivem and Ant Plate, and the climax of an idea that extends back even further. No stone has been left unturned, no corner cut, in the duo's quest to create the perfect representation of what they stand for musically. Indeed, 'Off The Charts' was originally performed live as an album launch event to a packed Room 3 at Fabric back in April 2012, before Rhythm Plate hit the studio again to refine the songs for a further 12 months.

While rooted in 4/4 House beats and featuring a healthy dose of classic Rhythm Plate deepness on tracks like 'Blue Ocean', 'Bring It On Back', 'Not Like That', 'Satellite', 'Come Back To Me' and 'Day By Day', 'Off The Charts' is far more than just a House album. Take the robotic tones of 'Digital Entry', the laid back and emotional 'Keep A Light On', the UNKLE-esqe 'Cut Price Air Cut', the frantic stomp of 'King Of Rubbish' and the ethereal closer 'One In The Land Of Too Many'. Throughout, the album features a host of vocal collaborations with Frank H. Carter III, Clyde, Colin Multcher, Johnny Gill, Lorna Bean, Mykle Anthony and Hannah Hunt.

Rhythm Plate have always sought to work with people they know and consider friends -- starting with Midlands Deep House institutions such as DiY, Mantis, Winding Road and Procreation, to West Coast USA's Blue:m, Losonofono and Roam, to Northern UK labels Flat & Round and Hudd Traxx. It's the same story with Lost My Dog where a personal friendship saw the duo play the first ever LMD party and release music from as early as 2006's 'Not Wot You Got'. Despite the close knit family, those in the know have been well aware of Rhythm Plate for some years and their music has been picked up for compilations by top-flight DJs including Lee Burridge, Tom Middleton, Maceo Plax, Catz N Dogz, Peace Division, Graeme Park and H-Foundation.

Rhythm Plate's output has been relatively quiet over past few years as they have focused on the album as well as other projects as YSE (Ant Plate's solo project which has called Lost My Dog it's home) and Bleep District (Matt Rivem's collaboration with Matt Powell), but the odd RP remix here and there has continued to cause a stir and a reworking of Mark Ronson's 'Bang Bang Bang' became big with blogs and a viral hit.

'Off The Charts' is released on Lost My Dog Records, considered one of the UK's most consistent and reliable house labels. Formed in 2005 in the UK's Midlands by Pete Dafeet, Ian Straker and Najan Ward, the label has welcomed an international cast including Jay Tripwire, Pezzner, Milton Jackson, Fred Everything, Burnski, Mr V and Giom while also developing previously unknown talents like Roland Nights, Sek and YSE.
