Me Love by Reuben Kigame Ft. Sifa Voices, recorded live at Citam Eldoret - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 28, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
Composed in 2005 as the first track on my album with Douglas Jiveti titled 'Gods Reggae', "Me Love" is a song written as an outpouring of simple, uncomplicated devotion to and worship of Jesus Christ. I put myself in the shoes of the man born blind, Jairus's family and that of Lazarus, whose loved ones were raised from the dead. When I wrote the song, I was asking myself, "How might these people that Jesus helped really worship Him without complication?" For the African and their kindred folk in the diaspora, Reggae is the only genre that might capture both the simplicity and outpouring of the whole person. For musicians, you may already have noticed the simplicity captured in the fact that the song is built on only two chords, E and B. I send this to every young person and lover of Reggae. Fi al di people dat got maximum respect Fi Jesus di 'uoly Son af di Most 'igh, may dem ridim burn in your heart more lov an devotion today an al di time.
