Requiem Ex Machina 2007

She spent an entire year to compose the three acts of "Requiem Ex Machina", electronic opera setting up on stage with the Philharmonic Orchestra led by Norbert Hérouville Genvrin, signed a set design and William Dubourg It also includes Camille Hamel as a dramatic soprano.

Largely influenced by minimalist composers of movement American found in certain parts of "Requiem Ex Machina" work on the cells as in music of Steve Reich, Terry Riley or Philip Glass.

Moving increasingly towards a work of film music, it starts growing into creations worn by the imagination.

The aesthetics of music Sylvie Egret is based on the colors of the industrial electronic music, a tonal harmony, a presence of a melodic aspect in some cells it uses.

Her music carries a first orchestral or instrumental writing which are superimposed sound purely synthetic materials. These sounds are played by musical instruments, distorted and used to the extreme. The sound material to the color of both traditional and urban is the specificity of the writing of this young composer.
