The call of the void utters my name. The darkness, impending demise. Despicable thoughts come alive and as I descend, the demons arise. My body is taken hold. It’s no longer mine. The devil is creeping behind. This can’t be undone! Where’s my heart? I want to feel whole again or nothing at all. Where’s my soul? Because I’m not myself. I’m not like anyone else. A wound never healed is hard to conceal. Putrefied sores will fester and spoil. Free from the shackles of my innocence, I no longer see through the rose coloured lens. I see the world for what it really is. The goodness is gone so I’ll take what I can. Where’s my heart? I want to feel whole again, or nothing at all. Where’s my soul? Because I’m not myself.
