Apprehensively and perfectly aware of the possible backlash, I've decided to share this with you guys today.

I remember the first time I heard, "Rebel Rebel" on the radio... I was probably 11 or 12 at the time. I banged my head to the infectious melody so much I practically gave myself whiplash. I was a fan of Bowie ever since. Of all of his songs I feel like this one just oozes his Rock Star persona the most, both musically and lyrically.

I don't anticipate that everybody is going to like this. But I did my best to stay true to the original, leaving it mostly intact and only rearranging in favor of creating something that would work in my sets. You won't find any big cheesy synths or wobbly Massive bass lines here; just a jacking House groove with a DJ-friendly intro and outro and a couple of breaks.


I thought about waiting to post this until emotions perhaps wouldn't be running so high. This will no doubt piss off some purists, who for some reason believe Bowie would rather his body of work be put behind a piece of glass than reinterpreted and shared. But in favor of increasing the possibility of him getting even more play in bars, clubs and other venues, I'm throwing it to the wolves, so to speak. Feel free to reupload it/mirror it, burn it to a CD and use it for skeet shooting... whatever.

Nothing else to say, really. Enjoy. Or don't. Either way, rest in peace, Ziggy Stardust. For what little it's worth, I hope I can get a few more heads bobbing for you.
