fairfield circuitry randy's revenge
smooth trem sounds and glitched out noise freakouts, all in one box.

first things first, let's get the basic tones out of the way. It does trem really good, like extremely good. the lpf really gives and extra versatiliy and softness to the tremolo, mostly at lower mix settings.

tuning the carrier frequency to something close to what you are playing gives some very interesting note relationships. the lpf also shines here 'cause you can dial out the higher harmonics and just keep the wacky basslines. This is what happens at 0:22.

To make things extra fun, there's an electro-harmonix random tone generator going into the cv input. Playing with the dip swtiches will still some of the glitchy sounds even with nothing's plugged into the cv input. I haven't really looked at the manual honestly but I think I'm rerouting the cv to different parameters of the pedal.

the pedal was upside down so I don't really know the settings used, and they've changed mid-clip a few times. i used a ditto looper to have both of my hands free.

no post processing, except for a tiny bit of cut/paste in the last clip.. it was a bit too long and meandering for my taste.
no other effects, except for the ditto and RTG, obv.
