Ragnarök (Viking Music) - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 11, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
This song is not meant to take place during the actual event of Ragnarök, but as a song that could have been sung in villages during the Viking Era to allow the tale of Ragnarök to live on to future generations. Music and lyrics were a common way to teach knowledge and skills to future generations during the Viking Age, and I wanted to pay tribute to that phenomenon with this song.

As I mentioned in the video I also have a somewhat special connection with the Vikings myself:

When an archaeological digging was made before building my house they discovered that it was to be built on top of a huge Viking settlement - so I'm definitely feeling a connection with the Viking culture.

The vast amount of finds on the place showed that the very spot of my home has been occupied nonstop since 1200 A.D. - and that a wealthy family with a great property lived on the exact spot of my house during the Viking Age.

Hopefully this has influenced me enough to give my Viking song just that little extra feeling and genuine touch.
